"The Best Thing About Christmas in Seattle"

"Audiences for these sold-out shows . . . go wild"

—Seattle Times

Lily Verlaine, Jasper McCann, and their incomparable "corps du burlesque" will return to Seattle's illustrious Triple Door for their ninth annual installment of Land of the Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker in December, 2014. A spectacle of ecdysiastic pageantry, Land Of The Sweets has delighted holiday revelers since 2006 by giving the Nutcracker ballet a bawdy makeover!

The 2014 ninth season production will delight the newcomer and surprise return visitors to the Land of the Sweets. New cast members formerly of Spectrum Dance Theater and Ballet Bellevue make the dancing even hotter, and favorites from past years will be back in all their glory. Waxie Moon's nefarious Rat King and Lily's steamy Countess of Coffee are on the invite list, but don't be surprised if some new guests show up at this year's soiree!

Jasper McCann hosts the "rollicking, frolicking, unabashed and uninhibited celebration of the season" (Seattle P.I) that features an all-star cast from Seattle's Burlesque A-list. After you've come in from the opening snowstorm, Verlaine, McCann and company invite you to trim the tree and warm up with exotic delicacies from the far corners of the globe. Experience what's made Seattle's "audiences for these sold-out shows...go wild" (Seattle Times) and discover "the best thing about Christmas in Seattle" (CultureMob). With a theatrical run of 33 performances there's no excuse to miss it this year! Join us!
