
Lily Verlaine

“A living, breathing work of art,” Lily Verlaine is a classical ballet dancer and burlesque artist. She has studied at San Francisco Ballet and other notable schools with some of the most beloved names in ballet including David Howard, Laryssa Sklyanskaya, and Gelsey Kirkland. In 2001, she graduated from The University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s Degree with High Distinction in the interdepartmental, self-designed program “Women In The Creative Arts”, which was comprised of Feminist Theory, Creative Writing, Studio Art and Dance.
She is the Artistic Director and Choreographer of Land Of The Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker, Through The Looking Glass: The Burlesque Alice In Wonderland (2009) L’Histoire de Melody Nelson (2010) and Burlesco DiVino: Wine in Rome (2012)
Lily is one of the original members of The Atomic Bombshells, with whom she has made frequent appearances with the iconic Dita Von Teese. Highlights of 2012 include the creation of the latest Verlaine/McCann Production Burlesco DiVino: Wine in Rome, and travels as a solo artist to New Zealand, Hong Kong and Europe. She looks forward to bringing all of the aforementioned shows back to The Triple Door stage in 2013 and many adventures, both near and far.
