Land Of The Sweets is the Perfect Centerpiece for your Holiday Celebration!

2020 has been a bit of a year for everyone.

We’ve all had bumps along the road, as we navigate this collective challenge.  And now we’ve arrived at the holiday season… a time when we can really reflect on what’s important, and a time when traditions mean the most.  If you’re reading this, Land Of The Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker must be one of those traditions… and it will be again this year.  So let’s make a night of it, shall we?

Here are our suggestions to make your viewing of Land Of The Sweets: The Cinematic Cut a night to remember.  We hope it will brighten your season and give you a chance to relax and enjoy yourself.

  • We’re betting you usually bring family and friends to the show. Some of them are in your “pod”, right?  Send them an invitation!  We like to send hand-written ones, because we love getting mail that is charming. If you’re out of your personal stationery, an e-vite will do. (Or on a Land of The Sweets Greeting Card!)

  • We all love children, but this is a night for the adults.  If you can safely hire a sitter, give the kids a mini-vacation, too!

  • Dress for the Occasion! Not a lot of chances to get fancy this year? Take this opportunity to get fab, because everyone appreciates a sharp-dressed human.  Need help with glitter or tying your bow tie?  We can help!  Visit our 12 Days Of Glamour page for fun films on getting fancy.

  • Cocktails! As I always say, “Drunk crowds are infinitely more pliable.”  You deserve a break, don’t you? And by break, we mean your favorite libation.  Don’t feel you’re a mixologist? We can help there too.  Dig my Martini Mix-Up on The Sixth Day Of Glamour, and check this blog for my tips on stocking your home bar for the holidays and scads of classic cocktails that are simple to make and delicious.

  • We always suggest Canapés to accompany cocktails.  I’ll be writing a post about the classic cheese board I grew up with (with modern additions, ‘natch) soon.  Want the full at-home Land Of The Sweets experience? Order Dinner Delivered from Wild Ginger whose Bellevue and South Lake Union locations are waiting to hear from you.

We hope that you get to deck the halls with us and really make your at-home viewing of Land Of The Sweets an experience.  Remember… “Joy is the reason we’re Swingin’ In The Season”, so spread that holiday cheer around to your nearest and dearest, and continue your tradition with us.

All the best, and to Peace, Love, and Glamour!
